heart of the Verdon canyons and lakes. Incredible crisp

Area
renowned for adrenalin sports, Saint
André boasts not only
it's own
paragliding school where
international competitions have taken place, but also
white
water rafting, mountain climbing, hiking, horse riding,
abseiling, trial biking
quad bikes, and bungee
jumping.
Facing the castle,
is the beach of Saint Andre just on the lake, with all the
usual water sports you can expect.
There are also lots of activities for
our younger guests: paddle boats, mini golf, even tennis
courts.

historical villages of
Castellane and
Entrevaux are within a radius
of 30 miles. |

Just close by is the
famous village of
Peyresq, well known for it's
Science and Art summer school named after the great humanist
Nicolas-Claude Fabri. It
attracts many academics and students alike from all over the
world, and organizes regular classical concerts in the region,
including Saint André. |

Drive further south 60 miles down the road
to Grasse, perfume capital of France. Some of the lavender
fields of Saint Andre end up here. Beyond Grasse is the French
Riviera, Nice, Cannes, Monaco, within 80 miles of the castle.
